I’m in the exact same boat as you—badly needed a new MacBook to use working from home while knowing silicon was on the horizon. I’m so tempted to switch, but I’ll wait until the reviews come out first.
So is anyone trading in their 16” for a M1 Air after today’s reviews? Getting rid of the Touch Bar and being able to run Overcast and Timery was enough to push me over.

I was super excited this morning after receiving a message from Apple that my order had shipped and would be arriving on Saturday!
My MacBook Air wasn’t even set to ship for another two weeks!
Then I looked closer and realized that they had shipped my MagSafe charger for my iPhone 12 and not my MacBook Air.
They got me.
They got me real good.
