I use 2 uninstallers: AppDelete (which works great, although the dev passed away a few months ago), and the built-in uninstall utility as part of CleanMyMac X.
I’ve heard that in 2018 the best standalone uninstaller app is probably iTrash.
@scottj, I was in the Apple store last month, and one of the “Genius” told me that Time Machine was out dated and Apple recommended for everything to be backed up to iCloud.
I asked what he used for local backup, and he told me that he didn’t. 
He must not have much data to backup or ever had his ass saved by Time Machine.
Time Machine used to be a big selling point (and I still think that for the average person it is great back software - set it, and forget it).
