Adapter for IMac Pro to external display

I have need for more screen real estate. I have a 27” LG 4K monitor (formerly used with my 2015 rMBP) that I’d like to connect. When I was working on connecting the rMBP, I learned that DisplayPort is the only way to go for 60Hz refresh rate. For the iMac Pro, I’ve ordered this cable/adapter:

I find the Tunderbolt 3 / USB-C terminology to be kind of ambiguous. Anyone have experience with or opinions on whether this cable/adapter will work at 60Hz and 4K?

I purchased the same cable to connect my 2016 MacBook Pro to a Dell 4K monitor. It worked like a charm and I do get the 60Hz refresh rate.

Thanks Tim!
