Adding local weather information into Obsidian daily note

Just wondering anyone has the expecting output using the suggestion in Ben Newton’s post.

I followed the instruction word to word (except changing the City) but cannot get the script to display correctly. Just wonder there is anything I missed in setting up the templater user function. I repeat the script inside the user function box in terminal and was able to get the correct outcome

Try doing View > Force Reload, which is sometimes necessary to force Obsidian to recognize templater code.

I tried the command “curl wttr.in/Sydney” on the terminal and it works perfectly

Hoewver, once it is back to Obsidian,

I get this error

I suspected I am not calling the getWeather command correctly from Templater.

I tried some basic templater function such as

<% tp.date.now %> in a blank note and this does not evern give me the date.

There is something wrong either with my Obsidian set up or file structure or some templater plug in options not selected correctly.

Will keep trying
