I have been looking for a solve that Google and AI cannot answer, so I am checking with the smartest people I know.
When I am recording in Audio Hijack, I am looking for a script that will pull the time of the active recording and paste it as text. So, if I want to flag something, I have a hotkey that will paste the minutes and seconds of the current recording. I know that Audio Hijack has its own scripting feature, but I am not enough of a programmer to solve this.
if anyone can point me in the right direction, I would be eternally grateful!
Boring response - It looks like I created a very inelegant solution. was able to create a shortcut using Audio Hijack’s “Run Javascript” action with a script that pulls the time and copies it to the clipboard. I have to trigger that shortcut from Keyboard Maestro, as I could not figure out how to get the shortcut to pass the output of the javascript to another shortcut action. Or how to paste from Shortcuts. But in KM, I am taking the clipboard, applying some formatting and pasting.
So, now with a hotkey, I can paste the current runtime of the recording while I am taking other notes. FWIW!
I would contact Rogue Amoeba directly. They have a great support team and if it can be done, I bet they can tell you how to do it most reliably.
