Anyone use an "offline" computer?

Yes, my kitchen refrigerator.

You probably won’t get any responses from people using offline computers since they are offline. Just a thought.

I have a G4 iMac whose wWiFi card died, and I didn’t bother connecting it via Ethernet. It’s my very favorite writing tool, because it still runs MacWrite Pro.

If you are going to illustrate it, it would be so funny to draw the sheep in a style reminiscent of the Wallace and Gromit animations, with the bulging eyes.

There is a great movie called “Enemy of the State” (1998) with Gene Hackman and Will Smith on a related topic. Not sure if I would go to the extent of Gene Hackman’s character and have my computer in a huge Faraday Cage in an isolated warehouse but some days it’s tempting.

Also try and find a bricks and mortar bank - getting harder and harder. They are all going almost fully online or ATM to save money and increase profit (public issue about needing to provide a service to their community seems to have been abandoned). As for travelling internationally without credit card and getting visas etc - impossible.

So I have separate personal devices and work devices and never shall they meet… Tokenism I know, but it’s better than nothing, particularly when I know people are trying to hack my work laptop.
