I’m not sure about avoiding doubled video, but to avoid echo you must should join the Zoom call audio with only one device. If you join with both and mute one, you will still get echoes/feedback. If you make a mistake and join with both, the only way to fix it is to leave the call on one device and then re-join the call — without audio.
The Ventura feature where you can use your iPhone is super cool. I need to figure out a way to mount the iPhone super close to the top of the screen. Today I was using a tripod which held the iPhone about 15cm above the monitor, and me looking down at the screen is just as distracting as when the camera on my laptop is looking at the side of my head when I’m looking at my external monitor. I’ll build something this weekend which holds the camera just over my monitor.
