I am trying to built a custom window layout on my 27” iMac screen. Does anyone know of an app that can tell you the exact size and location of an open window on the screen?
I’ve used xScope in the past. It’s a slick app that can be used, among other things, to measure the size of screen elements. It’s a product of the iconfactory, the same folks behind Twitterrific.
Though, I suspect this may be overkill for what you’re looking for. It’s a fairly expensive app ($49.99 USD) that I think is aimed primarily at developers. I got my license as part of a MacHeist bundle back in 2013.
