Yep, we all have to make our own choices on stuff like that, weighing the pros and cons and deciding what matters most and what matters least to us. Millions of people are okay with the privacy/convenience tradeoffs of using Google Assistant, and I can’t say their choice is wrong for them, only that it wouldn’t be the right one for me.

I regularly review the policies and certifications of the companies whose devices and services I use, as well as their published vulnerabilities. It was once part of my job so I’ve been doing it for decades. I’ve also been officially notified that my financial and medical data was leaked during three of “The 18 biggest data breaches of the 21st century”
I didn’t choose to have my information stored by any of them.
