Hmmm . . . neither store app, website nor phone is available this AM for us with preorders. Must be a lot of activity to crash all three.
I noticed it wouldn’t show the store was open on my iPhone even after the app was shut down completely and reopened. I ended up ordering the iPhone on my iPad. My preorder selections seemed to carry over well. It was a good 15 minutes before the iPhone app recognized the store as open.
It finally opened for me after 20 minutes or so, but it took about 45 minutes of hitting “place order” on my iPad and watching it reload a gazillion times before the order went through. Picking up new 14 Pro next Friday. 
I read that as “Picking up 14 new Pro…” and thought, "Well that’s what happens when you keep hitting the order button”
