Are there recommendations for External hard drives for 2024?

Odd, the 2TB version is on sale for the biggest discount in its history on US Amazon at $140. (Sorry I know that doesn’t help, just interesting to see how different it is between us.)

I’ve alway rated crucial. I’ve had memory and SSDs from them in the past, but not recently.

It may just depend what stock is on hand in the different territories. Surplus 2TB in the UK, but Surplus 1TB & 4TB in the UK

I have a feeling one of my SATA SSD’s in my NAS is a Crucial and I’ve rated them as well - I know for a fact that the extra RAM in my NAS is Crucial.

However, a quick google seems to indicate there are some people with issues for them - but I see the X9 Pro has a 5 year warranty compared to the T9’s 3 year.

Though the 2TB T7 Shield is reduced and at a similar price and I know it’s reasonable!

I’m aware of a few people who had issues with Crucial RAM and it was always swapped for free, no quibble. But again, this is going back a few years.

The Samsung T7 is tiny and fast, highly recommend.
