Attributed strings are coming to SwiftUI

This will be huge for productivity apps.

In the next SwiftUI release, attributed strings will be integrated into the framework, including built-in Markdown support. I have been eagerly waiting for this as this allows for complex styling of the most important element in apps - text. It’s also a vast improvement over the UIKit equivalent. I expect many new productivity apps to appear using this - I can’t wait to start digging myself.

This is big. If I understand correctly, this is one of the things that’s held DEVONthink To Go’s editor back over the years.

But which markdown?!

Not much. Only the very basic things, italic, bold, links, as far as I can see.
I have more than a pet project that depend on this, so I’ll keep you posted if you want. :slightly_smiling_face:
