Automatically convert .pages to .pdf - is it possible?

Hello…
I just stumbled over this awesome community yesterday. I’m new to automation, I started to fiddle with the new Shortcuts in Monterey and I was wondering if there is a way to drop a pages into a folder and it gets automatically converted to pdf. I tried it with Hazel and Shortcuts but it doesn’t work… Has someone an idea how this would work? Maybe with another tool?

Not at my Mac right now test this.

Is Pages AppleScriptable? I know Pages can export files and print to PDF so you could use an AppleScript folder action or Hazel script.
