I’m new to FaceID; is there a way to automatically dismiss the Lock Screen after a successful identification?
Swipe up from the bottom.
That’s the only way I know of. Raise to wake saves having to make the initial touch to wake but you still have to swipe up.
There’s a setting to unlock if you have the right cover on your phone but I’ve never had one.
I heard a podcast recently where someone was dismissive of the iOS 16 lock screen improvements because “you never see it.” I guess when you’re used to FaceID, the swipe becomes ingrained, but there is a reason it doesn’t go away by itself — there is information there. More so with iOS 16.
