Best Software for cataloging a collection?

I’ve done a few projects like this one and I just used Excel - although nowadays I’d use Numbers (which is free BTW).

Databases are fine if you intend to write queries on the data but I didn’t get the idea that OP has that requirement.

HomeInventory is actually a very good fit for me, Alan! It comes with the Set App groups which is certainly handy.

I have TapForms for my iPad but haven’t used it. Can you elaborate where I might find it within the app or elsewhere?

Hi Katie

The templates are just there in the sidebar. It is very easy to customise an existing database or create your own. The image is from the Mac version but they are all there in the iPad version too.
