Cheap/simple way to get keyboard/mouse working w iPad Mini?

I’ve got the latest iPad Mini and I’d like to do a little more work on it with Shortcuts and JavaScript. But some of it gets a little tedious.

Would pretty much any bluetooth keyboard and mouse work with this? Or something else over Lightning? I don’t want to spend a lot of money.

Any ideas or recommendations? Thanks in advance!
