Creating a pdf from an email in iOS

On the Mac it is easy to print to a pdf, so if you wish to create a pdf of an email it is straight forward. Thus far I’ve not been able to figure out how to do so on the iPad. I’m working to create a “make pdf” workflow with Siri Shortcuts to create a pdf from an email and no matter how I’ve configured the steps what I get is a variation of the subject line and web address for the email.

Am I missing something? Seems to me this would be easy, and I hope it is… but thus far cannot figure it out.

Thanks in advance for any help.

When viewing the email in Mail, hit the reply arrow and select “Print”.
When you are shown the print options and the print preview, “reverse pinch” the preview to expand it to full screen.
You’ll now see a share arrow that you can use to save the PDF to the location of your choosing.

Hard to imagine a more convoluted and hidden way of doing that eh?
