A common class of background utility is something that cleans up content on the clipboard. Most of these are single-purpose — stripping out tracking parameters from copied URLs, removing rich text by default, etc.
Has anyone made a generic, programmable version of such a tool, where the user could write their own trigger conditions and transformation rules for clipboard contents?
I’ve recently run into several cases where I wished I could quickly set up a customized clipboard transformer/sanitizer. This seems like an obvious opportunity for a standalone utility app, or for new functionality in something like Alfred.
