Devices you choose over Apple’s major hardware products

I use Apple for laptops, tablet, watch, phone, and earbuds, but other brands for the rest:

  • Kindle for all reading except comic books (iPad), and PDFs (mac, iPad) because e-ink is easier on the eyes and the battery lasts a lot longer.
  • Playstation VR2 because I already have a Playstation 5 and the cost is a fraction of the Vision Pro cost. Vision Pro would have different use cases, but none that would justify the cost for me.
  • Roku and smart TV (webOS) - Both get used a lot more than an old Apple TV HD which still gets used occasionally with the smart TV.
  • Acer widescreen monitor - 5x cheaper than a Studio Display, but also lower quality.

I just found this topic!

I use Airpods Max at home, but for travel and at work I use Bose Quiet Comfort headphones. I also bought a Windows PC last summer, for gaming.
