I have woken up three times in the last week with about 30% battery charge after having it plugged in all night. It shows that it was changing and steadily discharging the whole time. I use the Overcast during the night but doubt that is sucking out the charge. I have a 13 mini that otherwise works fine. It charges up full quickly in the morning.
