I just bought a Apple refurbished MacBook Pro 2020. Any recommendation for a dongle since it only has two ports and I need an HDMI port for an external monitor?

Is it a 4K monitor? If so, make sure that you get one that supports 4K at 60Hz. Many do not support this and 4K at 30Hz is a very suboptimal experience.

At home I have a Kensington Thunderbolt 3 dock that drives two 4K monitors and provides a lot of external connectivity (and 100W of power) for my 16" MBP. It’s much more expensive than the Satechi hub though.

I shall second TJ’s recommendation… USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter. A bit pricey but well worth the $!
