Could anyone help explain a noob why bold or underlined text etc. doesn’t show if I transfer it from Drafts to a message or mail. I know it has something to do with Markdown. But more importantly how can I solve it?

You are looking to convert the markdown to rich text before you do that. The built in Mail action does this I believe 
Nope, unfortunately it doesn’t seem to do that.
But thanks anyway
The Markdown Mail action does the conversion for the body of the email although interestingly not for the first line of the Draft that becomes the subject of the email. Works for me anyway.
