Face ID stopped working

Well Face ID has stopped working abruptly and will not allow set up of a new one. After using my Google Foo, reviewing/trying all of the Apple Support articles, AND going through the Support Communities, Apple has asked me to bring in my iPhone 11.

Steps taken:
iCloud backup
Software update (13.2)
Power cycle (3 times)
Hard reboot (2 times)
Erase all content and restored from iCloud backup

I’ll update this post after discussion with the “Genius Bar”.!

Have you had the screen replaced at all?

nope no screen replacement

In case anyone is following this… got to the Apple store and Genius hooked up the diagnostic tool. The Face ID module failed so they replaced the phone. Good luck if this happens to you.
