Are you using the Journal section? I am still trying to appreciate the logic of 366 days and adding entries annually.
BTW, I have exchanged emails several times with Matthias Hilse - he is very responsive, and helpful.

I don’t use the Journal part of the framework, mostly because daily entries in notes apps never worked for me. That might be an unholy admission here, but there it is.
Yeah, I was over on Threads when Matthias had presented it to everyone. I really enjoy the framework, but this is my first time trying anything like it — I am kind of making my own ✱ notes system within the notes app, Bear. I am integrating Apple Calendar and Things 3 as well and so far I am liking it! I dig that you can take the docs and use the ✱ framework in, I think, pretty much any app. (Bear, Obsidian, etc.)
I’ve been using Forever * Notes with Apple Notes for a few months and it’s been working great. In the next few weeks I’m going to be adding a Linux laptop to my setup and wanted to bring my notes & implement this framework in a more cross platform friendly manner.
This morning I spent roughly 30 minutes migrating the setup to Obsidian and it turned out to be fairly trivial. Used the importer plugin to import the notes from Apple Notes, found some custom css that has an Apple Notes like theme, and installed the TagFolder plugin to approximate smart folders.
Here are the links in case anyone else is interested in making this change:
Yeah I really dig the ✱ notes framework. I set up a similar system when I used Bear and I’ve done kind of the same thing within Obsidian now that I’m using that.
Just jumping in to say I’m a couple of weeks into implementing Forever Notes in Apple Notes. I too am finding it really helpful. Somehow, it seems I spend less effort organising my notes, yet also less effort finding what I need Perhaps this is the goal of the framework.
Using for personal notes. Work stuff is still in Obsidian in a standard ‘Obsidian-ish’ structure.
