From Handwritten Notes to Polished Article: Apple Pencil + AI + SuperWhisper + Writing App

For years I used GoodNotes for my hand-written Morning Pages, but last winter I switched over to typing them in Drafts and then importing them to Obsidian. This was due more to a time crunch than anything else, as I started exercising for longer periods each morning, and it took me more time to write out three pages by hand as opposed to typing 750 words (the equivalent of 3 hand-written pages). I do think there is something to be said for writing by hand. It slows you down so more thought goes into what you’re writing. Still, my current journaling workflow has been better for my circumstances. After the help I got in this thread with converting the hand-written notes to text in an .md file, I am considering giving GoodNotes for Morning Pages another shot. Maybe I will do it on weekends when I have more time.

You might want to give this app a look see. Simple, inexpensive, no subscription and quickly saves to Obsidian when you’re finished. I cheat on the ‘morning’ aspect. Did the ink & paper routine until I found it recommended elsewhere in a journaling blog. Never looked back. (Apple Shortcuts makes it even faster) YMMV!
