Has anyone noticed that certain global keyboard shortcuts are not working in specific apps on macOS Tahoe?
So far, I’ve noticed that Command+C and Command+V don’t work in:
- Audiobook Builder 2 (when you click More and add additional book info)
- Choosy (when trying to add rules)
When I reached out to the Choosy developer, they replied quickly with the following:
“Thanks for the feedback. This is an unfortunate consequence of macOS implementing most keyboard shortcuts via menu items, and Choosy not having a menu bar so that it can display the prompt over other apps without fully changing focus.
I’m currently in the process of migrating the settings window to Apple’s SwiftUI framework (the prompt, advanced, and about tabs were converted as part of version 2.5, and the remaining tabs will follow in version 2.6). Once that migration is complete, I’ll have access to more flexible options for handling keyboard shortcuts.”
Has anyone else run into this issue in other apps?
Have you found any workarounds using Keyboard Maestro, Alfred, Raycast, or other tools?
