Grey ScanSnap ix500 icon and yellow flashing scan button

My ScanSnap ix500 has never really been “reliably” detected by its software. I often connect the scanner to find that the ScanSnap software icon is grey and the scan button is flashing yellow.

My ix500 is connected to the MacSales.com T3 doc.

Sometimes things work fine, and sometimes not so much.

Any thoughts?

Is your scanner connected by WiFi or wired? — Ah, sorry, did not followed your link.

How does your iX500 behave in WiFi mode?

Well, I rebooted everything including the scanner and the hub and I cannot get this to repeat. So I’m good for now…
