I’m adding one more layer to my backup strategy - any data or boot drive will have a bootable clone. Before, I only had a clone of my internal SSD. This allows multiple layers of protection:
- clone (immediately bootable, exact permissions, no version control)
- time machine (easiest restore)
- arq (on-site restore with full history of version control)
- backblaze (cloud with 30 day history)
