I’ve been having issues with my laptop and I’m wondering if there is any tool I can use to determine if there are hardware problems.
At first, I was thinking it could be a usb issue but I’m not so convinced anymore.
What is the notebook doing? Here are some things to try:
- Restart the Mac
- Try the USB device on another computer or another port
- Replace the USB cable if possible

Thank you for this. I did run this and it showed no issues which I think is a good thing. Going to do other suggestions.
Thanks. I did run the hardware test from the next reply. And I also noticed that there was an update to Big Sur about 10 days ago so I installed that. And then I think I reset NVRAM correctly. Hopefully, that corrects things.
