How Are You Using AI Tools to Boost Productivity?

And bear in mind, while we are aware of the proposed method Elephas is using, it is not sanctioned by us and we still do not recommend people access the internals of a DEVONthink database.

For what its worth, I would love DT4 to be able to do what Elephas is doing, ie allowing AI analysis persistently across your entire database. Hell, look how good the AI chat in the DT4 help file is. Same principle.

Perhaps the same principle but certainly not the same as trying to process an entire database. Read the Getting Started > AI Explained section in the Help.

That’s what Elephas is doing now to be fair and its by far the best use of AI I’ve come across for my particular line of work. I know that DT4 isn’t trying to do that right now, for reasons that Im sure are entirely cogent, but that doesn’t make it any less desirable.

Understood but do keep this in mind, even if it “works”

If you’re using Obsidian, check out the Smart Connections plugin and the CoPilot plugin. It‘s amazing. Here are two videos explaing them:

part 2:

I agree that querying Devonthink in that way would be great, but this is also not bad.

I haven’t quite abandoned the Clone Stamp Tool, but almost.

There are times when masking a complicated edge, eliminating a distraction, or retouching skin requires human intervention, but starting with Adobe’s AI-powered tools is almost always a helpful and time-saving first step.

Ditto for AI noise reduction via either DXO PureRaw or Lightroom.
