For certain types of la escape images especially there have been found to be the two problems I mentioned, which can be googled.
But I agree that for photo management Lightroom is a good solution. Powerful Smart folders (especially inside other Smart folders), tagging, ratings and colors makes finding, selecting and storing images more comprehensible and less onerous than any other solution I’ve seen on the Mac.
The current subscription version is more powerful and faster than my old purchased copy of Lightroom 6, and as I’m sure you know Adobe isn’t supporting new cameras in that deprecated version (which I think came out in 2016). So the subscription is really the only good option for me (and I don’t even use the cloud component aside from letting Adobe confirm I’m a valid user and tell me when updates are available).
