Mine too, but in a different way.
With the help of Claude, I’ve undertaken something akin to a Swedish Death Cleaning of my digital and hard-copy archives. The goal is for someone to be able to take them over with a minimum of fuss in the event that I’m not able to handle my own affairs. Since DEVONthink is almost guaranteed to seem impenetrable to that someone, I’m migrating everything to Finder folders that I index in DEVONthink. (There’s a written guide detailing where everything is and what might need to be attended to.)
The files are organized by “Domain”—e.g., there’s one for personal finance, one for each nonprofit I work with, one for research and learning, etc. Each Domain or Sub-Domain as the case may be gets indexed in a DEVONthink database. Matters I’m actively working on each get a folder on my desktop where I’ll store related temporary documents as well as a note with DEVONthink links to any relevant files, plus links to any relevant websites and Gmail messages.
Some of those Finder folders are also Obsidian vaults, by the way. I like this system because I can work with my files with any number of tools: Obsidian, DEVONthink, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code via VS Code.
