According to this news release. iCloud will be fully encrypted

There are also two tiers , standard and advanced data protection

There’s a thread here iCloud will have end-end encryption! Including Notes, Yay! :slight_smile:

oooppps, I should have checked first, I was getting too excited to hear the news. However, security issue aside. IMHO, performane of iCloud is still subpar compares with other clourd services
