I’ve said for a while that I wouldn’t give up my Touch ID, or easily pocketable size on my SE3 (& wife’s SE2!) and that I’d get another one if I had to. But after being with the same carrier for 20 years, I was having a “conversation” with Grok about better family program deals, and I learned that there can be unadvertised “Loyalty” promos discoverable if you talk to the right person, so… somehow this happened:
Thanks for the warning. For some reason I was under the impression that it would be “better” to have 26 on the mac if it was synced with a new 26’ed phone.
That is not required, but I have found that having all Apple devices on the same iOS/MacOS does increase the synergistic effect. New features in native apps work across the systems. If you have some on legacy versions, you will lose features. So if you like a new feature in Notes app but your computer is running an older version, those new features will not appear. Is it required, no. Does it smooth out some rough patches, yes. It is a way to “encourage/force” upgrades, maybe. Congrats on the phones
