Importing photos into iCloud

I am trying to upload all of my photos to iCloud, but am having issues making it work. Here are some key facts about my situation:

  1. My MacBook Air HDD is too small to hold the photos
  2. My internet is very slow at home, but fast at work

I am wondering if I can transfer the photos to my iPhone X, which has plenty of room on it via USB, and then upload them from there to iCloud when I’m in work.

When I open iTunes I get a useless message that says “iCloud Photos is On” with no option to import photos.

Does anyone have any advice on how I might be able to upload photos to my iPhone, without using the internet?

When is Bring Your Mac To Work Day? :joy: :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

Or just transfer manually via iTunes from Mac to iPhone:

You can keep your Photos library file stored on an external hard drive, and you can take your Macbook, and your external harddrive to work.
