I’m an iPad Pro user since 2018 (other iPads before that) and I used to use the Pencil frequently for text selection when writing code, but I haven’t used it since the Magic Keyboard came out.
I’m not really clear on your definition of ‘visual thinker’ here but I have a Pro with a Pencil and though I don’t use the pencil daily I wouldn’t want to be without it. When I need or want to draw something it’s been absolutely fantastic.
I have occasionally used it for note taking.
I would say you are a visual thinker. I have an Apple Pencil and I use it every few months. I never want to draw something and the only time I write by hand is in situations where I think it might be rude to type. I am not a visual thinker.
I am an iPad Pro user and not (what I would call) a visual thinker. I use my iPad for entertainment, not work. I do work on my MacBook. I have an older version of the Apple Pencil, but it never made it into my workflow. I didn’t bother to replace it when I upgraded my iPad.
iPad Pro (M1) user and definitely use the pencil multiple times a week. Whenever I’m reading (Books app), I use it for highlighting. I use it for drawing and occasional note taking, etc.
I do use the keyboard case (A Zagg Pro Keys case which I mostly like, but do wish I could rotate the iPad from landscape to portfolio and still use the keyboard) all the time. In fact, I’m using it now, but I use the pen at least 4-5 days a week.
Had 3 different iPad Pros along with the newest iPad mini. I’ve had the Apple Pencil twice, thinking I’d use it the first time with my first pro and eventually sold it. Then got it with my mini and eventually sold it. Just don’t have much use for the pencil. My handwriting is barely legible and I can’t draw much past a stick man. But boy do I love my iPad Pro with cellular. Maybe my most used Apple product after AirPods and the iPhone. (typing this from a MacBook Air 15")
Like others, I have a Pencil stuck to my Mini, which is used occasionally for notes, and a Pencil stuck to my Pro, used for LiquidText. I write notes on iPads far less than I used to, having moved back nearly 100% to using real pens and notebooks for note taking.
(My wife has her Pencil in the nightstand, where it’s lived since she bought the Pencil.)

I have an iPad Air and do not own or use the pencil or a keyboard accessory.
