I have a 2017 iPad Pro 10.5" WiFi only that is suddenly only charging to a maximum of 94% even after being plugged in overnight. I’ve plugged it into two separate Anker PowerPorts and directly into the wall – nada. Any clue what’s happening? Very frustrating to not eke out the last 6% of storage.
I noticed similar behavior on my 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 WiFi also. Mine will charge up to around 96 to 98 percent. I then unplug the cable from the iPad and then plug it back in and the iPad will finish charging to 100%. Overnight it will go to 100% by itself, however I don’t any idea how long this takes.
A summertime problem, perhaps? If the battery gets too warm, OS software may limit charging above 80 percent, and Apple recommends moving the device to a cooler location.
