Jump Desktop Connect now has built-in audio support

Jump Desktop Connect now has native built-in support for being able to connect to a remote computer and listen to audio being played on that computer locally.

Previously you could do this, but it involved downloading another audio driver (and the preferred option required your email address to download it).

It’s now native and works great.

Not sure when this was added, but the current version (6.5.31) has it.

To see if you are up-to-date and that JD Audio is enabled:

  1. Open Jump Desktop Connect and click the “gear” icon at the top-right:

  1. Selected “Advanced” in the left column and make sure “Audio Capture Device” is set to “Jump Desktop Audio”.
