Yes, and I do think that will be the case of the desktop app being updated. Will it be feature equal in five years? The implication is that it might not. I think I will evaluate that when they finally land their airplane. However, what they implement at the beginning might not be where they want to be at in five years.
The whole thing is concerning. Along with my other concerns about subscriptions (which I’ve shared a few times ), the idea that one loses features and functionality unless you are willing to pay a perpetual subscription holds one hostage. This is one reason I’m striving to the extent feasible to move away from subscription apps. Regarding Logos, can you imagine the loss of all notes, highlights, and other resources you have constructed over the years if you find yourself unable to pay the subscription?
