Thanks for the input! I wound up nabbing a pair of the PowerBeats Pro to try them out - I figure I get 14 days to decide whether they need to go back or not.
Overall, I’m pretty happy so far - with the proviso that, as you said, they’re not quite as comfy as AirPods. I’m playing with the ear tips and such, and I think I’m getting things “dialed in”, so to speak. 
Move vote is for these as well.
How is the call quality and talk time? I’m interested in these as well.
My strategy has always been having two sets of earbuds, one in ears and the other charging. You get a warning before they die, so just keep switching them out during that window.
I almost read it as two sets of earbuds. One pair charging while other in use.
So far call quality on the PowerBeats seems to be pretty good. No complaints that I’ve heard yet - at least none that weren’t due to the phone being in a non-optimal location for network access.
