On my new 14" MBP I’m having an issue where, when I try to preview a photo or a PDF sent in iMessage, it no longer gives me a big preview popup and gives me this instead:
It feels like an M1 issue as this MBP was restored from a TM backup of an Intel MBP and I didn’t have this issue on my old machine.
Any ideas how to fix?

How are you opening the preview? Just click the pdf in message?

I simply click it. It does the same thing with PDFs, photos… it’s weird and definitely behaving differently.
I had the same problem. It’s a bug in Monterey I think.
