Depending on your definition of data sets, Sheets might not be appropriate. However I routinely have pivot tables from Sheets that are 50K-200K rows. Works quite well, and if your result needs aren’t too esoteric, it is much simpler than Excel.
I have found that too many times, Excel just doesn’t work, and find myself spending hours trying to figure out why. Reminds me of my days in the Windows eco-system
