I announced to our employees the retirement of a long term member of the Senior Leadership Team. In doing so, I quoted a scene from Star Trek:
SPOCK: This will be my final voyage on board this vessel as a member of her crew. Nature abhors a vacuum. I intend you to replace me.
VALERIS: I could only succeed you, never replace you sir.
My Marketing Director subsequently sent me the attached. I already feel smarter!

That is funny but you misunderstood. I’m not retiring—way too young for that . I announced the retirement of a colleague and used the Star Trek quote.
