I’ve really enjoyed the no apps layout to the first page and having my second most used apps in a folder in the dock. Most of the time I’m using an external keyboard with the iPad so I do everything through spotlight plus I like the less busy nature of opening up my iPad and helps me stay a little more focused. This is probably why I have a similar setup on my Mac, which is a clean desktop but I actually don’t keep anything in my dock. I’ve always like the minimalism.
