Need To Record Commercial

Hey MPU,

I was just asked to record a 5 minute video commercial for someone tomorrow. It’s been many years since I did video related items.

Currently equipment in my home that I have…

iPad Pro 12.9 (latest gen)
iPad Pro 9.7
iPhone 11 Pro Max
Zoom H6
Shure SM58 XLR Mics
Canon EOS R Mirrorless
Canon T3i SLR

These 2 items are part of my office setup, I can disconnect them, pack and bring them if needed.

  • Macbook Pro
  • Focusrite
  • Audio Hijack

What is the best recording process to go with?
What’s the easiest way to edit the background, if needed?

I find Final Cut the most intuitive program to work with. I managed to work out most of the features in just a couple of hours, which is amazing for a pro level tool.
