New MB Pro (M4 Pro) is stuttering

Hello. I have a brandnew M4 Pro MB Pro (14 core CPU, 48GB Ram) and primarily use it in clamshell mode connected to a Thunderbolt hub. After it’s running for some time, it regularly starts stuttering, meaning it hangs for a fraction of a second ever few seconds. Super annoying. iStat Menus shows that the efficiency cores are at 46% and the only processes worth mentioning are PerfPowerServices at 7% and MacOS at 5%. A reboot fixes the problem.

Does anyone have a suggestion on how to troubleshoot this? Thanks!

I’d start by taking the Thunderbolt hub out of the equation and running solely on the laptop

Then add one thing back at a time every few days.

E.g.
Empty Thunderbolt hub
Monitor connected to hub
Add a removable drive…

When the problem starts again, remobe the last thing you added to see if the problem disappears again
