Yes, I really like my Magic Keyboard with Touch ID as well

I dislike auto switch as well. Before touchid, I used logitech keyboard & mouse that had physical switches to switch between up to 3 different devices. I’d still be using it if that same keyboard had touchid.
That works too, if you have a USB hub. I currently use my Macbooks with displays without USB/Thunderbolt. I’m waiting for a new Apple Display to come out before switching. That will have integratded thunderbolt and usb-c, and make a magic keyboard and trackpad(mouse? yuck!) work for me. But then what to do with my current 49" display I dropped a big chunk of change on?
