My main computer is on Sierra. I can’t upgrade due to some essential software and peripherals that are incompatible with Mohave and High Sierra. But now I am running into problems with Pages. It wants me to update, but I can’t without updatingto Mohave. I started a Pages doc on my iPad today and I couldn’t open it on my computer. Is there any kind of workaround for this while I wait for the developers to upgrade my apps/peripherals? (I know it’s been a while, but they’re a small company and they’re working on it). I appreciate the help.
Depending on your needs there is the cloud version of Pages which was pretty full-featured the last time I looked.
It’s not elegant, but if you must use the Pages on your computer, have you tried exporting the Pages document on your iPad to Word format, placing it where your iMac can find it (iCloud Drive?), and then importing the Word document into Pages on your computer?
And, as @dfay has already pointed out, the Cloud version of Pages is really quite nice and improving all the time.
I was thinking the same, but I tried it a few weeks ago and couldn’t figure out how to do something very basic formatting-wise. And, I couldn’t open the document on my computer.
