I have a form at work that is a fillable PDF. I didn’t make the form and I’m not good with them so I don’t know how to fix it. But when I fill the form out it gets messed up. For example: line 1 name, line 2 what unit you work in, line 3 phone number line 5 basically write what you need on the form. Problem is when I get to line 5, it’s already filled out cause all the stuff from line 2 copied automatically to that space.
Anyone know how to fix it?
And if I start filling forms out on my iPhone, does it matter what app I use? Or should I do it in Apple notes?
You’d need a PDF editor to change the fields, and the PDF can’t be locked by the original author.
Any of the PDF editors here (in the PDFs tab, if the link doesn’t take you straight there) that say Yes for “create fillable forms” and “edit objects” should be able to do this. Definitive MacApp Comparisons - Google Sheets
Thank you. How do you know if the pdf is locked or not? Wow did you make that spreadsheet? Wow that’s impressive. I can’t stop reading it. Can I fix it on my phone or do I need touse computer?
If you open the PDF in Preview on your Mac, I believe you’ll see a locked indicator in the window title if it requires a password to edit. I’d plan to edit the PDF on a Mac (or PC) so you’ll have the most control.
