Phone not turning on… iPhone 12 PRO

Hi Gang, I had a situation with my phone last night that I thought I would share with all of you. At the moment my iPhone has the latest official release, no betas, the phone doesn’t have any crazy apps, I do YouTube, messages, normal stuff,… nothing crazy. Every night I close all apps before going to sleep, then I connect it to power (I know it may kill the battery) and go to sleep. When I woke up, the screen on my iPhone was pitch black… nothing made it respond, not even connecting to power or anything. I searched the internet on how to force restart my phone, and pressing vol up then down then leave power button pressed, it forced reboot and came back. It was not charged 100% … it was around 90%.

Not sure if anyone has seen this issue… but wanted to share with you…

Nope. Batteries and chargers are smart nowadays. You don’t have to worry about it.

Glad you resurrected your phone!

That’s not necessary - in IOS it provides no benefit

However closing all of your apps may lose some of your data and will use more of your battery to launch all of those apps again.

Just a bad habit that I am trying to not do anymore…
